Anna Maria Island
Anna Maria Island with its relaxed Caribbean atmosphere is situated in front of the coast of Manatee County, bordering on the Gulf of Mexico to the west and on Longboat Key to the south. Particularly characteristic for the island are its beautiful white sandy beaches that extend over a total of nearly seven miles. Various properties blend into the beautiful landscape of the island, also as it is regulated by law that no building can be higher than 20.5 meters. Many of the beautifully restored houses and the spacious villas are situated directly by the sea.
Bird Key
Bird Key is located south of the Ringling Bridge between the mainland of Sarasota and St. Armands Key. From there you have a wonderful view of downtown Sarasota to the east, and the lively St. Armands Circle and Lido Key to the west. On this beautiful little island in Sarasota Bay there are attractive houses, villas and magnificent properties, which blend in elegantly with the scenery. Bird Key is a gated community, only accessible to residents and their guests. Sarasota Yacht Club is very nearby. Here members enjoy the club life with all its amenities, such as excellent food in one of the two restaurants by the waterfront and private boat docks.
Casey Key
The narrow island south of Siesta Key is one of the most prestigious residential areas of Florida. A variety of architectural styles of fascinating elegance with Mediterranean influences and old Key West Florida charm can be found here. Located between the Gulf of Mexico and Blackburn Bay, most of the properties are luxurious. The fauna and flora nature reserve on the island is also very much appreciated by the residents of Casey Key. Among them the writer Steven King, who can be spotted commuting on his bike between his three houses on the island. The properties on Casey Key are among the most exclusive on the West Coast of Florida.
Lido Key
Located just north of Siesta Key, Lido Key is connected directly to the scintillating St. Armand’s Circle. The west side of the island features a beautiful drawn out public beach. In the south extends into a park with tall trees and nice lawns. On the landscaped nature trails fauna and flora of the island can be discovered and a soothing scent of Australian pines fills the air. From the beach part of the park you have a breathtaking view of the Sarasota’s skyline and the Gulf.
Longboat Key
Directly in front of Sarasota, Longboat Key is a narrow, nearly seven-mile long island. South of Tampa Bay it separates the Sarasota Bay from the Gulf of Mexico. 7,000 people live on this quiet barrier island. They appreciate not only the mild climate and the seclusion but also its proximity to mainland life. Stately mansions and beautiful houses blend harmoniously into the idyllic landscape and offer an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Two excellent golf courses with magnificent sea views, are located at the south end of the island.
Siesta Key
Siesta Keys unparalleled white beaches are among the finest in the United States.
